Sinopse
Musseque, before being a piece for four dancers, is home, it is a gathering, it is a place to be. It is where they left long ago and to where they return, in memory and in body, through Kuduro. The bodies are called upon to demonstrate rhythm, precision and endurance, so that, amidst the turmoil of war, a fragment of freedom may be found. During the Angolan Civil War, Kuduro was music and dance, marginalised by many but adored by the people. The four performers on stage are now called upon to carry on what was lived and felt, transforming past experiences —which have passed but not been forgotten — into the dance of the present. On this stage, the outskirts of Luanda — which are home — are revisited, along with the speeches that are revolution and the bodies that are resistance, in a dizzying rhythm of movements that embody the resilience of those who carry on beyond the war. — Fábio “Krayze” Januário — Fábio “Krayze” Januário
