Sinopse

Nocturne (Parade) [Noturno (Desfile)] begins with a gust of wind sweeping through the space — the very same breath that creates an invisible bond between us. Anthropomorphic puppets and inflatable landscapes are what we can see, whilst we, as humans, are simultaneously the creators and anchors of reality. In this ‘parade’, life and death take centre stage, right before our eyes. These eternal adversaries, entangled in their endless dance, reveal themselves in both the victims and the executioners, in the enslaved and their masters, in the parents, the children, the horses, and in a long procession of skeletons and flags. Immersed in darkness, the audience is invited to embark on a sensory experience, to feel before they see, to pass through a tunnel and finally find the light. — Phia Ménard / Compagnie Non Nova
