Novos Talentos

JOSÉ MIGUEL BORGES was born in Porto in 2000 and started learning the piano in 2006 with Marta Oliveira and then with Marian Pivka. In 2015, he joined the Porto Music Conservatory under Teresa Xavier, and he completed his studies in 2018, scoring 20 in his exam. He currently attends the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under Boyan Vodenitcharov. Among his many awards, he highlights the first place at the IV Tadini International Piano Competition and at the XII Huesca Piano Competition, the second place at the XIX Santa Cecília International Competition and the third place at the IV Krystian Tkaczewski International Piano Competition in Busko-Zdrój. He participated in master classes with professors Dmitri Bashkirov, Pavel Gililov, Eldar Nebolsin and Philippe Raskin, among others.
