Quintas de Leitura

The evening brings together two resplendent poets: Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, lead singer of the historical Mão Morta, and renowned visual artist Cláudia R. Sampaio. In the company of José Anjos, they will read a few poems from their books No rasto dos duendes eléctricos and Já não me deito em pose de morrer, which were published in the series “elogio da sombra”, coordinated by Valter Hugo Mãe. The session also includes Krake, a musician from Barcelos also involved in the projects Dear Telephone and peixe:avião. Krake joins Adolfo  in a post-apocalyptical journey that combines the drummer’s dark, experimental sound and the singer’s cavernous, sombre voice. The evening is also marked by the expected return of the project O Gajo to this poetic series. Musician and composer João Morais will certainly cast a spell on us with the distinctive sound of his guitar from Alentejo. This poetic evening will open to the sound of Marco Figueiredo’s piano improvisations. From Bach to Pink Floyd to Astor Piazzolla, anything is possible in this musical introduction. Douglas Melo presents a new circus number on a tightrope. Cláudia R. Sampaio is also in charge of the session’s image.
