Two sessions of the poetic series Quintas de Leitura included in the programme that celebrates the 90th anniversary of Teatro Rivoli, an iconic stage of this Porto that beats to the rhythm of new languages.
A verse by Eugénio de Andrade provides the motto for this double session that takes place away from Rivoli. We are welcomed and inspired by the Attic Room at the Coliseum for two intense and daring nights of poetry.
We summon nine poets from different generations, but all inextricably linked to this Porto of steel, where the word freedom in stainless.
Poetry that is unveiled in the voice and in the gesture of nine experts in the art of saying who are also very much present in the poetic social gatherings of the city.
Sessions that could not disregard the musical component—several storming soundscapes brought about by musicians from the city in an untouchable complicity with the evening’s collection of poems.
