Ruído Roído

Between noise and what is gnawed, Ruído Roído carves out a territory of dissonance, tension, and raw energy. The music emerges as physical, abrasive, and visceral, capable of provoking both discomfort and catharsis. The project was born after the end of Malcontent, a band shared by Jorge Oliveira (Big Summer, Karnnos, ex-Hospital Psiquiátrico, ex-Martyr) and Márcio Décio (La Resistance, Pyroscaphe). With that chapter closed, the two musicians embarked on something new, exploring extreme languages and uncharted paths. The pandemic acted as a catalyst: remote creation, home recording, and ongoing experimentation shaped their debut album, Dor (2023), followed by Êxtase do Silêncio (2024), the result of an artistic residency at gnration, both released via Raging Planet. Live, as a quartet, Ruído Roído turns sound into an intense, immersive experience, weaving textures, pulses, and dissonances.
