Sinopse
The decline of civilization in confrontation with wild nature. Sombra-Deliciosa (Delicious-Shadow) lives quietly in the Colorado desert. He spends his days observing the movement of colors on the rocks from sunrise to sunset. And this is the story of his life from the moment he was born until the moment when, by surprise, he is cruelly struck by love. Cruelly, because since Sombra-Deliciosa is a cactus with its feet buried in the arid rocks, how can he get close to the unfurled Algodão-Doce (Cotton-Candy)? Cruelly, because since Sombra-Deliciosa is a cactus, it is by nature very constrained in the physical manifestation of its affection. And if all that wasn't enough, how can he thwart the sinister plans of Botifarra, the sheriff, who is betrothed to the fluttering Cotton Candy? Alma d'Arame, founded in 2006 and based in Montemor-o-Novo (Alentejo), develops its work with the aim of disseminating the performing arts, with particular emphasis on puppet theatre, through creative creation, programming, training, and collaboration with local and international entities.
Baal17 - Companhia de teatro, based in Serpa (district of Beja / Baixo Alentejo), has been working since 2000 with the structural aim of encouraging people's interest in culture in general and theatre in particular, connecting the company with schools, the community, and a wide range of national and international organizations.
