Sinopse
F... stems from the will to question the place of women in contemporary artistic creation and in art history. Drawing inspiration from Womanhouse (1972), by Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro, my intention is to create a kind of womanplay, and to this end I challenged Patrícia da Silva and Paula Sá Nogueira to join me and build a space where we’re able to breath and stage what we are without restraint. And to do so for one simple reason: because we exist. There is an urgent need to reflect upon the space that we, women, occupy given that there is a considerable number of female creators, but they don’t always get the rightful visibility. I know that staging this play won’t overcome the imbalance, but the gesture, regardless of what it will say, is mainly and actively political. — Cátia Pinheiro (Estrutura)
