Sinopse
French cinema is celebrated at the Teatro Rivoli from November 7th to 12th! The biopic Simone - A Viagem do Século was the film chosen for the opening session. The work tells the story of French politics, Simone Veil, who shook her time for defending a humanist message of ravishing actuality. The programme also has school and family sessions, presenting a selection of fiction and animation films, to discover the seventh art from an early age. In the city of Porto, the festival extends to Cinema Trindade from 10 to 15 November and to Cinema NOS Alameda from 17 to 20 November.

Simone Veil's fate, her childhood, her political struggles, her tragedies. The epic and intimate portrait of a woman with an unusual path, who shook her time for defending a humanist message of impassioned current.

10:30 – O Menino Nicolau - A Felicidade Não Pode Esperar (school session)

Paris, 1942. François Mercier is a man who just aspires to start a family with Blanche. He is also an employee of the jeweler, Mr. Haffmann. Faced with the German occupation, the two men will have to conclude an agreement that will upset the fate of the three characters.

Lia, a young orphan, lives on the streets of Mist City and steals food from the castle of Prince Regent Tristan, who wants to take the throne. Lia then disguises herself as a princess and embarks on a delirious mission to rescue Roland, the heir to the throne, in the meantime transformed into a galigato, half chicken, half cat.

1944, Julien is a student at a Catholic boarding school. There, he befriends Jean, a newly arrived student, proud and reserved. But then one day the Gestapo invaded the school and arrested Father Jean and the three Jewish children he had hidden among his Catholic students.

In December 1897, Edmond Rostand offers a new play to Constant Coquelin, although it has not yet been written. Ignoring everyone around him, Edmond begins to write the play that no one believes and for which he has only the title: "Cyrano de Bergerac".

Abel, Marianne and their 13-year-old son Joseph live together in Paris. The couple discover that Joseph has secretly sold valuables to fund an ecological project and realize that hundreds of children around the world have plans to save the planet.
