Sinopse
The collaboration between Meg Stuart and Francisco Camacho dates back to the beginning of their careers. Now they come together on stage for a duet, inspired by the Nuragic ruins of Sardinia—traces of a rich culture that has slowly eroded away. In a landscape that seems to exist outside of time, the artists explore the gaps and absences in the record, digging emotional artefacts. They channel a lost language with their voices and find themselves through rhythm and repetition. By listening to the past, they build an archaeology of the present that does not distinguish between the mystical and the mundane. — EIRA & Damaged Goods

Author's bio text
Meg Stuart is a choreographer, director and dancer who lives and works in Berlinand Brussels. With her company, Damaged Goods, founded in 1994, she has created over thirty productions, ranging from solos and duets such as Blessed (2007) to large-scale choreographies such as Violet (2011) and Cascade (2021), video works, site-specific creations like Projecting [Space[ (2017-2019), and improvisation projects such as City Lights (2016). Stuart’s work moves freely between the genres of dance, theatre and visual arts, driven by an ongoing dialogue with artists from different disciplines. Through shifting fictions and narrative layers, she explores dance as a source of healing and a way of transforming the social fabric. Improvisation is an important part of Stuart’s practice, as a strategy to explore body memory and physical and emotional states, or the memory of them. She passes on her knowledge through regular workshops and masterclasses, both in and out of the studio. Meg Stuart has received several awards in recognition of her oeuvre, among which the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale in 2018.
Francisco Camacho directed 22 group and 20 solo performances, some for the stage and others for unconventional spaces, along with 13 co-authored works and several others in a pedagogical context, in the areas of dance and theatre. He performed around the world and received the Bordalo/Casa da Imprensa (1995 and 1997) and ACARTE/Maria Madalena de Azeredo Perdigão (1994/95; and Special Mention 1992/93) awards. He was a performer for Paula Massano, Alain Platel, Lúcia Sigalho, Filipa Francisco, Miguel Moreira and Tonan Quito. Highlights the regular collaboration with Meg Stuart, alongside the complicities with Carlota Lagido, Sílvia Real and Fernanda Lapa. He founded and directs EIRA.
