Sinopse

Its starting point is “La philosophie dans le boudoir” [Philosophy in the Boudoir], and it will navigate through several nooks and crannies resulting from the understanding of what his stylistic and literary alphabet is. Sade’s intentions were revolutionary. He called into question the good morals of his time. Nevertheless, many see his writings as the finest ever, in tune with a true desire to bring physical and intellectual excitement to the reader. This is the starting point to the dramaturgy of a performance that aims at celebrating freedom of thought.

Martim Pedroso was born in Lisbon in 1979. Aside from working as an actor with several national and foreign creators and companies since 1998, he started directing in 2005. Among his productions, the highlight goes to “Marcações para um Crime” [Markings for a Crime] (2005), “Seres Humanos” [Human Beings] (2006), “Dream Play, um tríptico” [Dream Play, a Triptych] and “Lúcia Afogada” [Drowned Lúcia] (2015), “Filhos das Mães” [Children of their Mothers] (2017) and “Cabarética” [Cabaretic] (2018). He co-created performances with Projecto Teatral, Teatro Praga and Cie. Zerogrammi.
