Sinopse
COBRA’CORAL
Encontro para 3 vozes
COBRA’CORAL is a vocal collective focusing on sound composition that comprises three artists: Catarina Miranda, a choreographer who uses voice as a key element in her scenic work; Clélia Colonna (France), a singer, performer and Oriental and Mediterranean polyphonic singing researcher; and Ece Canli (Turkey), an artist who works with expanded vocal techniques. In the scope of Rivoli’s 89th anniversary, they will present an excerpt of vocal research around a system of circular pulse, a triangular structure establishing a variation of sound elements based on metric and rhythmic sequences.

Adufes & Pandeiros - Concerto para percussões tradicionais e electrónica
Adufes & Pandeiros was the first of a series of 10 recordings Jorge Queijo presented in 2020. Driven by his childhood experience, Jorge Queijo impregnated the album with memories of travels and paths with no limits as far as the discovery of new spaces and the sound possibilities of the instruments he used are concerned. The musician was challenged to come up with a new approach to Adufes & Pandeiros as part of the celebrations of Rivoli’s anniversary, and he invited sound artist Francisco Antão to reinterpret the album in an exploratory journey based on traditional instruments. The presentation thus once again encapsulates the style the drummer has been crafting: it questions and explores improvisation between rock, repetitive minimalism and complex drones.
