Sinopse

In this performance from the series Antiprincesas [Anti-princesses] we’re in the 16th century, a time of mermaids and sea monsters, armours and sharp swords, and castles with high towers from where princesses peek. It is also the century of young Antónia Rodrigues, who left her small village by the river Vouga in search of a life of adventure. Antónia. António. Antónia? António? António, who faced storms in a caravel, got to know distant lands, and fought in ferocious battles, receiving commendations and passionate looks for his acts of bravery. This is the extraordinary story of Antónia Rodrigues. António? Antónia? Antónia Rodrigues, a young woman ahead of her time: a sailor, a war hero, and surely a Portuguese knight.
