Estrutura

“Party” is a family celebration, a gift performance, a journey of ten years condensed and shared with those who are close to there. They want to question directions, meanings, speeds. They also want to celebrate, dance, scream at the top of our lungs, and have a few drinks. Estrutura was created ten years ago, and so they want to think about the path they have travelled and what is yet to come. To this end, they invited some of those who worked with them over the years and in a way became “their family”.


Cátia Pinheiro and José Nunes founded Estrutura in 2009. It has created and produced theatre performances and training activities in dialogue with contemporary thinking, fostering artistic experimentation and a collaborative mind-set. Its most recent work includes “Uma Gaivota” [Seagull] (2016), “Geocide” (2017), “The End” (2017), “M’18” (2018), “Pathos” (2019) and the training programme “Recurso” (2018). Throughout its existence, it collaborated with institutions such as Teatro Municipal do Porto, Teatro Nacional São João, São Luiz Teatro Municipal and Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II, among others. Estrutura has the financial support of the Directorate-General for the Arts and is one of the resident companies at Teatro Campo Alegre in the scope of the Teatro em Campo Aberto programme.
